Drink of the Week: The Michelada

Drink of the Week: Michelada

North Carolina Beer Month Will Never Be the Same Again

April is NC Beer Month, and in that spirit, the Drinks of the Week for the month of April will feature beer cocktails. We’re calling it our NC Beer Month Cocktail Series, and you are along for the ride.

Drink of the Week: Michelada

We are in the NC Beer Month Spirit for this Drink of the Week!

This Drink of the Week: The Michelada is the beer soaked cousin of the Bloody Mary. The Michelada originated in Mexico, and is a popular cocktail with many variations throughout Latin America. In some parts of Latin America, mixologist will use their national peppers and spices or substitute Clamato Juice for Tomato Juice. Here in the Brio Smart Life kitchen, we’re mixing up this cocktail with Natty Greene’s Buckshot Amber Ale.

Enjoy this spicy treat, and be sure to check out our Top 10 Favorite Breweries for NC Beer Month.
