The Azalea Belle Cocktail

We’re giving this Drink of the Week the Azalea Festival Treatment!

Add an extra touch of Southern flair to your garden parties this Spring with the Azalea Belle cocktail.

Drink of the week: The Azalea Belle

The North Carolina Azalea Festival takes place here in Wilmington every year, and we crafted a Drink of the Week that captures the heart of the festival: The Azalea Belle.

One of the Azalea festival’s most popular traditions are the Azalea Belles, young ladies that wear hoop-skirted antebellum dresses and serve as hostesses and guides during the Azalea Festival Garden Tour.

via Star News Online

This tradition has been going on for over 40 years and has become one of the most iconic images of the festival and of the Port City.

We tried to capture that essence of bright colorful dresses and Southern hospitality in a combination of Grapefruit juice and Gin, with just a touch of extra herbal sweetness from a homemade Rosemary Simple Syrup.

Add an extra touch of Southern flair to your garden parties this spring with the Azalea Belle.
