Whiskey and Ginger Ale have had a casual love affair for such a long time, that many Irish Whiskey distillers have put their name on this spicy flavored classic.

As part of the Buck family of cocktails, which is mixed with ginger ale or beer and citrus, the Irish Buck is a smooth mixture of Jameson, ginger ale, and lemon juice that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Irish Buck

Yields: 1 Serving
Ingredients You’ll Need:
  • 2 Ounces Jameson Whiskey
  • 3 Ounces Cold Ginger Ale
  • 1/2 Ounce Lime Juice
  • Lime for Garnish
Glassware and Items You’ll Need:
  • Highball Glass

 

Preparation

The Irish Buck: Add ice to glass until about 3/4 full. Pour whiskey, ginger ale, and lime juice over ice. Stir together, garnish with lime wedge. Enjoy!

The Dark and Stormy combines spicy ginger beer and dark rum together for a taste sensation that makes your taste buds happy. The Gosling Brothers loved it so much they trademarked the name Dark ‘N’ Stormy, and created Gosling Black Seal Rum as the perfect pair for ginger beer.

Ingredients You’ll Need:
  • 5 Ounces Ginger Beer
  • 2 Ounce Dark Rum
  • 3 Dashes Lime Bitters
  • Lime Wedge for Garnish
Glassware You’ll Need:
  • Highball

Preparation

Dark and Stormy: Fill highball glass with ice. Combine the bitters with ginger beer, and pour into the glass. Next, slowly pour the dark rum on top to create the “stormy” effect. Lastly, stir to combine and garnish with lime wedge. You can squeeze the lime wedge into the drink for an extra limey kick.
